"Hitler Danced with Glee"

Following the French victory of World War I, the place where the armistice was signed was marked with a stone slab bearing the inscription: "Here, on 11 November 1918, succumbed the criminal arrogance of the German Empire that tried to enslave the people of Europe." And on that same spot, in retribution, Hitler danced a jig and forced defeated France in 1940 to sign his armistice. He also destroyed the stone slab to avenge German honor.
